John Boehner, House Speaker, and Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader are in their corners, with Obama standing nearby with his arms crossed - cooking up debt plans.

The phrase "government shutdown' is a scare tactic the Democrats use readily - and Obama has added the extra fun tactic of scaring seniors and threatening their social security checks.

What will be the effect of not raising the debt ceiling by August 2nd?  What happens when the S&P and Moody's cut the US credit rating?

When the US credit rating is downgraded, the cost of the debt will go up, and the debt itself is continuing to rise at a brisk clip of over $4.2 Billion per day, that is 2.5 new space shuttles each day!

The Democrats crashed the economy with their reckless housing bubble in 2007.  Remember, housing is already in a depression, the rest is just a matter of staying Obama's current course.

Refreshing our memory, the Democrats lost in the last midterm due to their reckless, and malicious spending.  And their choice to concentrate on crafting a giant, destructive Obamacare fiasco, instead of working on the economy.

The Tea Party is being attacked by both Democrats and the RINO GOP, like McCain.  The Tea Party won the midterms on a cut taxes and spending mantra.  The DC crowd is resisting, in BOTH mainstream parties.  In the end, the US itself is at stake.

The final answer still lies with the voters, will they side with the GOP? Or the Democrats?  Remember, the gorilla in the room are the historically record deficits of nearly $2 trillion, and the unmanageable, and country killing debt of over $14.6 trillion.  At the current rate of spending, Obama will leave office in 2012 with over $18 Trillion in debt, and a full blown, and deeply embedded economic depression in play.

Impeachment: Obama Due?

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said today that Obama “would be impeached” if the nation falls into default.

Rep. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) said earlier this month it would be “an impeachable offense” for Obama to raise the debt ceiling without congressional approval.

In April, former Reagan administration official Bruce Fein drafted articles of impeachment.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) in March said the president should be impeached for launching air attacks on Libya.

But, what does it take to impeach a POTUS?

Article II, Section IV of the United States Constitution provides: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Under the latter, Obama could be charged with a violation of his oath of office in regard to ignoring the threats from Mexico; there have been several incursions from Federal Police in Mexico into US Territory.

The most serious, of course, is Obama's clear violation of the War Powers Act, in his actions in Libya, still ongoing.

If the US goes into financial default, certainly, that would constitute a clear violation of Obama's oath to protect and defend the US. 

Each day a new horror, each day a new crises.

$1 Million Worth Of Shiraz Wine Down Drain

More than $1 million worth of shiraz wine was dropped by a malfunctioning forklift in Adelaide, Australia.

The 462 cases of 2010 Mollydooker Velvet Glove shiraz - at $185 a bottle - fell more than 20 feet to the ground as it was being loaded for export to anxious customers in the US.

Black Widow Kills Colorado Baseball Star

A man from Erie, Colorado. died after getting bitten by a black widow spider. Colorado health experts say it's rare for someone to die from black widow bites.

Jeff Seale, 40, noticed 19 bites on his foot two weeks before he died. His sister says he worked at a horse stable where the black widows are prevalent

In the late 1980s, Seale was one of the best pitchers in Colorado high schools. Seale was drafted by the Mets, and played for the University of Texas.  Seale later moved back to his boyhood home and worked near his family ranch where the spider attacks occurred.

The black widow spider, though it is the most venomous spider in North America, seldom causes death as it injects a very small amount of poison when it bites.   About six deaths per year are attributed to all spider bites in the USA.

Dem Sen. Tom Harkin Witness Tampering?

With Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), facing serious charges of funneling TARP money to a bank her husband owns substantial shares in, Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin's office seems to be lighting up with charges of misconduct.

A top aide to Sen. Tom Harkin supplied an answer last year to a thorny question a friendly witness would face the next day at a pivotal hearing on for-profit colleges, raising questions of witness tampering, an email obtained by The Daily Caller shows.

The email raises fresh concerns about the senator’s committee conduct after he recently faced accusations from Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigators that he pressured them on an error-ridden report unveiled at the very same hearing.  Harkin was attempting to coerce a government agency allegedly.

Then there is the Federal Election Commission today saying Ex-Dem Senator John Edwards' campaign owes the government more than $2 million. This aside from his indictment for using nearly $1 million in illegal campaign funds to help cover up an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter.

The swamp seems to be growing larger, and getting deeper...where is Nancy Pelosi the swamp drainer?

Cisco Systems Slashes 9% From Workforce

Cisco Systems Inc., the world's largest maker of computer-networking gear, is reducing its work force by about 9% to reduce costs.  The company said 15% of employees at or above the level of vice president are being eliminated.

Earlier this year, Cisco cut 550 workers as part of its decision to kill Flip and reorganize other aspects of its consumer business.

Cisco, once a tech darling, has fallen on hard times, but its not due entirely to competition.    Though Apple seems to make no mistakes, HP has made plenty of them recently, and currently has a fairly lame management team.

These losses are hardly the trend needed at a time when Obama has lost a full 7.5 million jobs and counting.

A Obama now threatens to veto spending cuts, and to bring new taxes to most of those working in silicon valley, who enjoy the nations highest incomes, no question, the valley will be affected if Obama has his way.

Corporate jets, high salaries, and the chill from new piles of regulations will all have a negative impact on US high tech, an industry that will no doubt see a full onslaught of competition sooner, rather than later from China.

Obama Deficit $1.65 Trillion - No Deal On Debt Ceiling

The White House projected Monday that the federal deficit would spike to $1.65 trillion in the current fiscal year, the largest dollar amount ever.  The record deficits seem to reach new records every other month.

The Debt now equals the entire US GDP, the entire economy.

Obama is proposing $3.73 trillion budget in the next fiscal year (2012),  budget cuts and tax increases that are spread over 10 years.

The budget does nothing to arrest a future spike in the projected costs of Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and Obamacare.  Details of the budget reveal a gross misunderstanding of the dire need to make real cuts in spending in current, and subsequent years.

Given the horrific extent of debt and deficits Obama persists in accruing, the new budget must be considered a disingenuous joke.

Metaphorically, there is a wolf at both the front and back doors.  At the front door, the runaway spending by Obama, at the back door, the inflationary and reckless time-bomb the Federal Reserve has unleashed from its printing presses.

The Debt Talks have broken down utterly.  Obama even ran out of the last meeting, and the weekend has produced no new anything, not a talk, not a solution, not a plan, nada.

The GOP is due to vote on the Cut, Cap and Balance bill on Tuesday.  Since Obama has once again failed to provide any presidential leadership, we have to assume the Democrats intend to let all of this collapse, the deadline on the Debt Ceiling to pass, and the US credit rating to be downgraded - all while Obama and the Democrats posture, procrastinate, and abrogate their responsibilities.

Sheila Jackson Lee: Debt Fight Because Obama Is Black

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Friday said members of Congress are blocking Obama from raising the debt ceiling because of his race.

"I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president — only this one, only this one — has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one," said Jackson Lee from the House floor.

Odd, the Democrats, Obama and Sheila included refused to vote for a debt ceiling hike in 2006 when they controlled congress - short memory Sheila?

Remember Sheila Jackson Lee?  She is the black caucus member recently accused of staff abuse, a foul-mouthed, ogre of a boss...The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as “you stupid motherfucker.” And not just once, but “constantly,” recalls the staffer, “like, all the time.”

Anyone else tired of the race card?  Anyone else tired of Sheila Jackson Lee?  Anyone else tired of Obama's incompetence?  Tiring, tiring, tiring...

California Mandates Gay History Taught In Schools

Once again pretending to be the cutting edge in a constantly degrading American Culture California takes the lead down the rabbit hole.

Democratic California Gov. Jerry Brown said he had signed into law a requirement that all public schools in the state teach students about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history.

California law already requires state schools to teach about the contributions of Native Americans, African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, and Asian-Americans.

Note Caucasian white male Americans, you know, the ones that built the nation, are not emphasized, even mentioned.  In fact, in public schools this group is being demonized, castigated, blamed, and scapegoated for societal ills. Now, in California, history can be revised once again.

"It is an outrage that Governor Jerry Brown has opened the classroom door for homosexual activists to indoctrinate the minds of California's youth, since no factual materials would be allowed to be presented," Rev. Louis Sheldon, chairman and founder of the Traditional Values Coalition, said in a statement.  "If parents don't already have their children out of public schools, this should cause them to remove them," he said.

Luckily, a recent win in the California Appeals Court reversed a law the teachers unions lobbied for and was passed that required parents be licensed teachers in order to homeschool their own kids...  Now reversed!

Wife Slashes Penis Off Ex - Grinds In Garbage Disposal

Catherine Kieu Becker was in custody after authorities said she drugged her estranged husband in order to castrate him.

Garden Grove police Lt. Jeff Nightengale said the 51-year-old male was attacked by the 48-year-old Becker who tied the drugged victim to the bed, removed his clothes and attacked him with a 10-inch kitchen knife.

"He was conscious when his penis was removed," Mrs. Becker then put the penis in the garbage disposal and turned it on.

Bail has been set at $1 million.  Her charges? Aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning and spousal abuse.

The good news is, he didn't die, the bad news is, he didn't die - in other words, he will have the wrong kind of phantom pains and will never again be able to satisfy them.

Who Is Shelley Berkley Of Nevada

Nevada seems to be loosing its grip on just about everything.  The state has had the worst housing, deficits, jobless, and bleeding revenue base of any state in the Union.

Dominated by Democrats, the state has continued to mix its legislature with Democrats in the majority, GOP governors, and splitting the House and Senate seats between the two parties.

Primarily run by Las Vegas political machines, Nevada seems to offer the country some of the most tawdry characters in politics.

Scandal rocked the GOP in the state when Gov. Gibbons and Sen. Ensign were embroiled in office sex scandals, and were both subsequently driven from office.  This hole in Nevada politics has been partially filled with the election of Gov. Sandoval, GOP. 

Will Ensign's senate seat go to a Reid insider - namely Shelley Berkley?  Shudder the thought, but she is currently ahead in the polls by 4 points.  Dean Heller is her GOP opponent, who appears to be off to a cold start.

Lets take a look at Rochelle Shelley "Mars Attacks" Berkley, the aging mannequin with the hair-helmet from left-wing central in Las Vegas.

Berkley is a prototype New York style Democrat, born Rochelle Levine she has not bothered to reinvent herself.  Moving to Nevada from New York as a teen, she lives in Las Vegas, and has been elected to congress in a district similar to Nancy Pelosi's, 58% Democrats, 23% GOP.  Hardly an uphill battle to stay in office.

Berkley has produced a hard-core liberal record over a twenty-year stretch in congress.  In 2012, the GOP is struggling to wrest control from the Reid's Democrat controlled dysfuntional Senate.  A Berkley win in Nevada would bode badly for that effort.

Should Nevada manage to fill both its senate seats with extreme left-wing radicals like Reid and Berkley, the state will sink like California, and Illinois.

Nevada faces an abyss of tax-hike pressures, shrinking casino revenues, and the Reid led effort to kill Yucca Mountain - the only remaining strong revenue source other than mining.  Berkley would readily vote to retain and enact even more destructive left-wing carp in DC.

As of Thursday October, 18 2012 Shelley is getting hosed in her lackluster campaign to unseat Dean Heller.

Pot Has No Medical Use - DEA Study

The U.S. DEA has denied a petition to reclassify marijuana as a drug suitable for medical treatment, saying it "has no currently accepted safety for use under medical supervision."

Nine years ago, supporters of medical marijuana asked the federal government to reclassify cannabis, which was listed as a Schedule I drug.

Today, DEA Administrator Michele M. Leonhart wrote that she rejected the request because marijuana, like other Schedule I drugs, "has a high potential for abuse," "has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States," and "lacks accepted safety for use under medical supervision."

Sixteen states and the District of Columbia have "legalized" small amounts of pot for personal use, and have allowed "medical" pot shops to open - the idea is to go after tax revenue streams.  And all of them are breaking the federal drug laws.  States Rights for pot, but not to fight illegal immigration?

The truth is, there exists a grand hypocrisy, as usual, from left wingers on this issue.  The same people that are ferocious regarding tobacco, are okay with pot smoking.  Both cause lung damage.   Pot and tobacco are both leafy plants, and both produce carbon monoxide, tars, and other carcinogens when consumed.

In short, pot smokers want to replace the now feared ills of tobacco smoking with the faux rationalization for pot smoking under the odd guise that pot is medically beneficial, a contention which is completely unfounded, as the DEA reiterated in this report.

Texas Woman Fired For Gray Hair

Sandra Rawline, a 52-year-old branch manager at Capital Title of Texas, has been fired from her job because of her gray hair.

Rawline's boss informed her that the company’s headquarters would be moving to a more upscale neighborhood, so she’d need to start wearing “younger fancy suits” and jewelry.

Rawline, who’s had gray hair since she was in her 20s had gray hair when hired. When Rawline refused to change her appearance she was fired.

Capital Title of Texas says Rawline’s only client complained about her hair. “Since the customer refused to work with her any longer, there would be no job left for her,” the company concluded.

Company CEO, Bill Shaddock, has gray hair himself, and called the allegations of age discrimination “preposterous.”

Okay, how about Bill fire himself, and let this woman keep her job?

This story is important given the gruesome job market.  A job market tough for everyone, but especially tough when discrimination rears its ugly head.  There is a clear trend to turnover the more expensive, more experienced middle-aged workers for the cheaper, younger, "fresher" youthful ones.  What are 50 somethings supposed to do now?  Age discrimination is the new Jim Crow.

U.S. state and local governments cut thousands of jobs in June, pushing their payrolls down to the lowest level in five years.

In June alone, local governments shed 12,600 education jobs. Since last August, when concerns about mass layoffs at public schools spurred Congress to send states millions of dollars, local education lost 124,300 jobs.

The National League of Cities, which represents civic officials, foresees further job cuts for at least the next 18 months.

State budget issues loom largely from the lowering of property taxes based on declining values, a direct result of the Fannie Mae Subprime housing crash of 2007. See also 'Double-Dip' Housing Plunge Deepens.

Obama claims he has made 2 million jobs since taking office.  However,  8 million jobs net loss since taking office stands like a shadow over the economy, his computations seem suspicious.  We do know that Obama has hired 750,000 new federal government employees, parasitic jobs that drain the private sector.

The unemployment picture is grim.  Today, the US Labor department calculates the jobless rate differently than during Jimmy Carter, when the department took out those who have left the job market entirely.  Using the older method, the real jobless rate is around 18%.  And those that are working, are seeing decline in pay and wages...

A monumental tragedy no matter how Obama tries to spin it.

ObamEcon: Wages Fall, Jobs Vaporize, Housing Dead

We already know its bad, we also suspect its getting worse - it is.

Workers made less per week in June than anytime over the past 18 months, when adjusted for inflation (inflation metric does not reflect $100 oil, and 30% hike in basic food prices).

"It's a symptom of how weak hiring is," said Heidi Shierholz, an economist with the Economic Policy Institute, a left-leaning research group. "Employers know they don't have to pay substantial wage increases to keep workers.".

The reports also says corporate revenues are dropping, due in part to high oil prices, due in part to Obama's weak dollar policy that makes the 40% of oil we buy from others more expensive.

According to the June jobs report, the economy gained just 18,000 jobs last month, far weaker than expected. The unemployment rate rose to 9.2%.  The report also includes a "revision" for the jobs numbers from April-May, down 44,000.

Housing has already entered a full depression level - more equity has been lost since 2008 than was lost during the worst years of the Great Depression.

Obama quickly took the bully-pulpit as the June report emerged.  The details will make you angry, are you angry?  He continues to blame others, continues to offer a "rolled up sleeves" effort, continues to produce results even worse than the Carter and FDR fiasco's.

Obama even had the gall to suggest that his goal now is to drive the jobless rate to 8.2% - is that supposed to be good news?  Or just another joke from this guy?  The Whitehouse went even further trying to float the idea that the jobless rate will not be a factor in the coming 2012 election.  What are they smoking up there?  Never-mind.

Fun historical note, of the ten presidents that ran for reelection from 1946 to present, just one got the job again with a jobless rate of 6% or higher, Ronald Reagan with a 7.2%.  The voters were rewarded reelecting Reagan by getting 21 million jobs, and a cold war win.

Texas Executed Mexican Killer Obama Fought To The End

US president (Obama) warns Texan authorities that execution of convicted killer Humberto Leal Garcia would put America in breach of international legal obligations - problem?  Texas has no treaties with Mexico, and the killer was not convicted in Federal court.

The White House has asked the US supreme court to put the execution of Humberto Leal Garcia on hold while Congress passes a law that would prevent the convicted rapist and murderer from being put to death.

Governor of Texas, Rick Perry has been pressured by federal judges, senior military officers, the United Nations and former president George W Bush to stay Garcia's execution because they believe American tourists will be threatened.

Garcia, 38, was convicted in 1994 of the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl in San Antonio, no one questions his conviction is solid but once again we have sovereignty haters like the left wingers trying to put foreign courts over US courts in regard to jurisdiction. And screw the family of the sixteen year old, after all they are only US citizens, and their feelings are secondary to what criminals in Mexico might do to tourists.

These sentiments stem from a 2004 decision from the International Court Of Justice (ICJ) that complained the US was trying and convicting Mexican nationals without a process they deemed appropriate.  In 2008 the US Supreme Court ruled that while the US government was obliged to comply with the ICJ ruling it did not have the power to force individual American states to do so.

In short, Gov. Perry can, and is telling everyone to back off - Texas has a perfect right, and even an obligation to execute Garcia.  Gov. Perry's office today has said Texas laws have been followed and that Garcia will be executed for "the most heinous of crimes" as scheduled.

This is a disturbing pattern coming from Obama over his continued effort to negate states in their struggle to defend themselves from illegals, their crimes against US citizens, and their drain on taxpayer resources

Obama Dumps Biden In 2012?

New York Post columnist Fred Dicker quoting prominent Democrat and Republicans speculating that the president would replace Biden with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the looming 2012 race.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt Obama is going to pick him as his running mate,” Republican William Powers told Dicker. “The president is in trouble and Biden doesn’t bring anything to his ticket.”

The report also said former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown has speculated that Biden would replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Cuomo has told friends he wants to run for president in 2016, this of course, sends a ripple of Biden's hair plugs, as he has also said out loud recently he wants to run for the White House in 2016.

Gotta love all these ambitious Democrats, and their grandiose plans.  

Cuomo was the goof that ran Clinton HUD, and pushed Subprime into Fannie Mae - leading to today's crashed econ and obliterated housing.  Biden of course, has been a clown from the second he was picked, gaffe-a-day Joe as he is not so affectionately known.

The Democrat train stops in 2012.  Obama will also be getting off - so Democrats, dream your little dreams of power, you are not going anywhere, any  of you.

US Jews Vacate Obama?

Obama’s statement that Israel should embrace the country’s 1967 borders correctly enrages those who understand this would effectively cut the country in half, and make Israel indefensible. Land swaps you say?  Arabs have attacked Israel since UN Resolution 181 in 1947 creating the nation.

Obama’s speech seems to have crystallized the doubts pro-Israel Democrats had about Obama in 2008 in a way that could cost Obama votes and money in 2012.

Traditional Jewish Democrats say to their astonishment that they’ll consider voting for a Republican in 2012.

The real question is, how can US Jews be Democrats in the first place?  Do Jews not understand that a powerful, large, central Federal government is the kind of thing that Germany grew, and eventually focused on them as scapegoats?  Do they not see the pattern of fascist tendencies in the Obama Administration?

Well, I am a huge fan of Israel, and of Jews in general - there are only thirteen million of them in the entire world!  Jews especially deserve a little corner of the world to defend, everywhere Jews have tried to live, outside of their control, they have been slaughtered.  England in the 13th century, Germany, Spain and Russia in the 17th and 18th century, Germany again in the 20th century.  And of course the Arabs.

Wake up!  We conservatives are your supporters, not those that carry water for a one-world government creating a large oppressive authority ready to spring yet another holocaust on you.

What a load of left-wing malarkey.  The hubris of these effete mouth-breathers from Harvard to suggest that American Patriotism is now just a ruse to drag kids into the fold, to make kids into some kind of automatons for Democracy, the American Way, and future GOP voters.  Who is in charge over at Harvard these days?  Apparently the adults have fled campus, and left the asylum patients in charge...

Isn't it time to clean out the hornets nest of malcontents in our education system?  Isn't it finally time to brush aside these country haters, these mutants who live among us, consuming resources provided by the system they so readily smear, and denude?  This blogger is pretty fed up with fascism masquerading as higher education.  Anyone else fed up?
