Elderly Wife Saves Husband With A Shovel

A massive moose was having his way with an old geezer near Willow airport in Alaska. But his even older fearless wife was on the job.

Recovering from gashes to the head and seven broken ribs, George Murphy, 82, says his wife’s heroic action as ‘amazing’. Dorothea Taylor, 85, was waiting in the truck while George was gathering up his golden retrievers. That's when the big bull moose attacked.

‘He started to stomp. Then he turned around and stomped again. And there was nothing I could do. I was afraid he was going to kill me.’ Dorothea sprang to action, retrieving a grain shovel from the back of the truck.

A bull moose stands 7 feet at the shoulder, and weighs about 1,200 pounds.

Picture the 5 ft, 90 lb woman in -30 degree temps beating the bejuzzus out of the towering moose with a frozen shovel.   Dorothea said she concentrated her meek blows on the moose’s ass but had to hit the head 'till it finally backed off no doubt pretty confused.

Lesson?  Never go up against the Russian's in the dead of winter (Napolean), and never ever cross an Alaskan women in her 80's when her husband is on the ground being mauled by a monster moose.
