US Standard of Living Decline Accelerates

The US standard of living has fallen longer and more steeply over the past three years than at any time since the US government record keeping according to the Christian Science Monitor.

The average individual has $1,315 less in disposable income than since Obama took office.  Real median income is down 9.8% in just three years, according to Sentier Research in Annapolis, Md.

The misery index reflects this decline - see US Misery Index Reaches 31 Year High.

The USA has a baby-boomer generation, the largest segment in the population, retiring now.  The dire Obama economy, eroding incomes, jobless rate, inflation, housing value loss, and medical costs are all converging in a perfect storm of disaster for this group.

Baby boomers bought homes decades ago, but have seen those values drop by 40% in the past three years alone. These housing equity losses are the 'nest egg' most planned to live on after retirement.

Obama meddled in the health care system, instead of tending to the job losses, the housing crash, and the imminent insolvency of Social Security and Medicare.  Now the price will be paid by everyone, but especially by seniors who have no way out, and nowhere to go.
