NAACP And Ku Klux Klan Summit Meeting

A historic meeting took place last Saturday night - no, not Obama growling at Putin or Terry Mcauliffe huddling with Michael Bloomberg.  The meeting was between the NAACP and the Ku Klux Klan and had been 8 months in the planning.

The Wyoming NAACP and the Ku Klux Klan John Abarr who organizes white-supermecists in the West sat across from each other at a conference table under tight security in a Casper, Wyoming hotel.

Jimmy Simmons of the NAACP asked for the meeting after receiving reports that KKK literature was being passed around. The discussion included race relations and other reported beatings of black males.

John Abarr said the KKK wasn't passing out literature and didn't beat anyone up. But he did say he and his group want Wyoming and other neighboring states to secede from the union and expects blacks living in those states to move elsewhere.

Ironically, Abarr had applied for membership in the NAACP and had just paid his $30 fee to get his card. Abarr said he didn't ask anybody at the meeting if they'd like to join the KKK.

‘You have to be white to join the Klan,’ Abarr noted.
