World's Shortest Firefighter

Vince Brasco, 19, has been a volunteer fireman for four years in steel town, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Vince will soon complete his Firefighter Essentials exam enabling him to fight the fire directly with the other guys.

For now, he, like all apprentice fireman, has to man the gear, water hoses, and ladder-work.

Oh yea, Vince happens to be 4'-2", 87 lbs. Vince can bench press three-times his own weight. For the math challenged, that bench press is over 265lbs.

'Because I can lift so much I'm handy at salvage jobs where we have to move heavy bits of metal debris - like after car accidents', Vince humbly notes.  'And it means I can be part of the line of men using a hose. If you weren't strong enough that thing would fly out of control.'

Vince wears a custom-made fire suit, obviously.  'We had to take a normal suit and have it reduced down to fit me. It was great when I put it on for the first time.'

Vince is the kind of guy that despite a couple of feet in height, lets nothing, not even cracking the super-human feat of firefighting can get in his way.
