Alabama Illegals Vanishing After Ruling

Hispanic students are leaving Alabama public schools a day after U.S. District judge Sharon Blackburn's ruling upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration.

In Russellville, having the largest illegals population in Alabama because of its poultry plants, overall school attendance was down more than 2%.

School officials are drafting letters to Hispanic parents attempting to soothe their fear, and minimize the effect of the law, we guess in order to retain the illegals in schools despite the clear desire by taxpayers that illegals be purged from the system.

Of course the Obama administration has been doing all it can to block responsible treatment of the problem, and to run from its constitutional duties to deal with border control.  "The Department of Justice is reviewing the decision to determine next steps.  We will continue to evaluate state immigration-related laws and will not hesitate to bring suit if, in fact, a state creates its own immigration policy or enforces state laws in a manner that interferes with federal immigration law.", an Obama spokesman threatened.

Obama needs to add this quote to his next speech: "We have met the enemy and he is us." Pogo.
