Gaddafi Goes For The Kill

Muammar Gaddafi's forces are pushing towards the rebel stronghold of Benghazi and predict they will suppress the rebel uprising within days.  A Gaddafi victory and a crackdown on protests in Bahrain will turn the tide in the region against pro-Obama movements.  Recall, Obama went out of his way to condemn Gaddafi, a sentiment we can bet Gaddafi will remember when he takes back full control.

At an evening rally in a huge tent in Tripoli, Gaddafi condemned the rebels as rats, dogs, hypocrites and traitors. No doubt he will turn his attention to the Obama missteps, ally himself with Iran, and Al Qaeda, and be a major new force against the US in the coming years.

Recall Obama chirping from the sidelines on Iran, failing to support opposition to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Soon after, Iran fueled and started their nuclear reactors, setting up a quick pathway to creating weapons-grade Plutonium.

"I think history will end up recording that at every juncture in the situation in Egypt, that we were on the right side of history," Obama said defensively.  Hillary Clinton was shunned today in Egypt by the youthful rebel leaders.  Today, she also announced she will stop down in 2012.

All in all, Obama seems to be failing in a serial fashion in the middle east; the Afghanistan war with subsequent firing of two generals, Libya and Iran are well in the hands of US haters, and even the grand uprising in Egypt is not clear on direction with the Muslim Brotherhood patiently angling for control.

Obama may well be leaving his successor with a mess completely out of control and too deep to alleviate.
