Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacteria beating known antibiotics. The scourge causes serious skin infections, sepsis, pneumonia, lung infections and a range of bloodstream infections.

MRSA is an apocalyptic super-bug lurking in hospitals folks. That's the bad news. The good news?

Scientists discovered nose-dwelling microbes making a MRSA killing antibiotic (named lugdunin).

The new antibiotic also kills Streptococcus pneumoniae which causes meningitis and bronchitis.
