Aevin Dugas, 37, spent 14 years growing a head of hair that takes 2 days to wash for the Guinness Book of Records. The official tape has her hair at an astounding 4ft 4inches circumference. Her 'natural' has taken over her entire upper body.
Aevin confesses, 'At one time I strived to get hair that was bone straight and now all I want is it big and poofy'. Aevin thinks her hair is bigger than the nearly 5-foot ball in the official measurement. 'When my hair is stretched out to its complete length and pressed, it goes down to my butt. But I don't wear it like that because it looks weird.'
Yea, stretching it down to her butt would look wierd, better to leave it riding like giant hair helmet and let it scare kids and get caught in trees, car doors and people's earrings.
Aevin says she grew the record-breaking hair ball to encourage other black women to give up chemical straighteners and get dat 'fro goin' baby. Aevin is gonna have fun with TSA huh.
