Admitting her diet consists of fried foods and sugary snacks the lumbering heart-attack-waiting-to-happen is willfully ignorant about her imminent diabetic comas.
Mikel is living a nightmare in denial. Why would she lose the weight - if you don't admit it's broken why would it occur to you to fix it?
