Israel: Iran Must Chose Between A Bomb Or Survival

"We believe that in order to stop the Iranian military nuclear project, the regime in Tehran should face a dilemma -- whether to have a bomb or to survive," Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Yaalon told reporters in Jerusalem.

The prelude to war is the war of words. As Teddy Roosevelt famously noted - "Speak softly and carry a big stick". In this case, the 'softly' is getting louder.

The abrupt pullout of US military in Iraq today is incredibly bad timing. Even after WWII in Europe, presence of US military was necessary to ensure the peace. Obama has learned nothing from history or his predecessors. The sacrifices in Iraq may be made in vain if Iraq falls into civil war.

How does the vacuum left in Iraq affect the looming war between Israel and Iran? Iraq sits between these countries. The US exit opens the air-space in Iraq to Israeli warplanes - there is no Iraqi air-force, no one to stop them. Likewise, the Iraqi land and air-space is open to Iran - once having waged a bloody war with Iraq, Iran is poised to move into the region, bringing with them a far more deadly weapon than they had in 1980.

The truth about Iran's nuclear weapons can no longer be ignored.  Imagine Mexican drug-lords getting nuclear weapons?  Would the US simply wait for NATO, or Israel to come help out?  Israel has no choice, and the window is closing.

Obama, thus far, appears impotent in regard to Iran.  Israel cannot afford the luxury of rolling over as Cater and Obama have done - the world must prepare for this ugly thing to happen.
