Evergreen Solar Inc., the Marlboro, MA solar company that received millions in state subsidies and more millions in Obama stimulus to build an ill-fated Bay State factory, has filed for bankruptcy. The company once promised 800 jobs, and a stream of products. Obama visited the factory several times, using them as a back drop. Like Obama's entire presidency, bankruptcy seems poetically appropriate.
Obama ill-fated taxpayer sink-hole the GM Volt is another failed effort. GM sold just 114 Volts in July. GM still owes taxpayers $30 billion. Gallup polling Obama at 39% approval is not an anomaly.
