Ex-Husband Becomes Online Stalker

Brian Matthew Cornelius is facing stalking charges after being exposed by his ex-wife. Cornelius allegedly lured her into a year long online relationship using a fake profile and picture.

The woman was so immersed and naive she actually allowed Cornelius who used the pseudonym 'Aaron Carpenter' to view her online via webcam without being able to see him in exchange.

After 'Carpenter' convinced her to skip her court appearance regarding a restraining order she filed against her ex 'Cornelius', the manipulated woman pieced together the fraud when she kept seeing 'Cornelius' at places she agreed to meet 'Carpenter.'

The lesson is direct and simple. If you are unlucky to be in an abusive relationship don't assume a simple protection order is enough to rid yourself of the obsessed and possibly violent partner.

And more to the point, NEVER share anything with anyone you meet online. Any real relationship is based on real life - the anonymity of the web is a quick, dark trap. Nothing on the web is worth endangering your safety or your treasure over.
