10 Most Critical Weapons In History

When it comes to killing mankind is on the job.  And liberals in denial fantasize mankind will stop the killing just because - eh not gonna happen.

Every weapon ever devised by man has been used at least once, including the fission and fusion bombs dropped on Japan.

There's only one real lesson when it comes to war.  Ignore aggressors and pay a far higher price than preparing for war and be glad it doesn't happen.

As Einstein adroitly noted, 'doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result is one definition of insanity.'  Translated?  Appeasement is a suckers bet that always loses.  So why pretend it will work if tried 'just one more time?'

How innovative is mankind when it comes to killing devices?  Take a look:
  1. Russian AK-47.  Though this genius in firearms design and engineering didn't appear till just after WWII the fully-automatic version is the most widely manufactured firearm in the modern world.
  2. English Maxim Machine Gun. Invented in 1884 the patents were bought and the gun manufactured by every European country prior to WWI.  The carnage and length of WWI was due to this weapon.
  3. Roman Gladius Hispaniensis Sword.  Rome would have been forgotten a decade after rising were it not for this unique short hand-held killing machine.
  4. English Long Bow. The increased range and killing accuracy of this improvement to the bow gave England dominance in the 14th and 15th centuries over France and Spain.
  5. Gatling Gun. Invented in 1862 to 'save' lives a medical doctor came up with this one. The gatling gun lives on in high-powered aircraft born air-cannons.
  6. Flintlock Rifle.  Both the unrifled and rifled versions changed the entire course of European and American history.
  7. Greek Hoplon.  This defensive shielding weapon could also be used to bludgeon.  The phalanx formation and this device gave Alexander The Great his victories.
  8. German MG42 (Maschinengewehr 42). A 1500 round-per-minute buzzsaw this hand-carry machine gun was feared and lives on in all modern hand-carry machine guns of today.
  9. Bayonet.  Invented around 1640 the 'knife' mounted on the end of a musket rifle gave Napoleon his reign.
  10. M1 Garand.  A Canadian invented the US Military's go to combat rifle for all conflicts from WWII to well into the Vietnam war.
The A-bomb trumps the whole list.  The cold war period was cold mainly because the use of nuclear weapons will be the last weapon humans ever use.
