Herman Cain, former CEO of Godfather's Pizza, announced he is in the fray for the White House.
"People are sick and tired of being sick and tired of politicians talking about problems and not solving them". On the issues, Cain appears to be a conservative on fiscal, and social issues - the alleged Tea Party favorite.
"The biggest barrier to solving many of our national problems is lack of leadership. Leadership is not being the sharpest knife in the drawer. It is working on the right problem, asking the right questions, and removing barriers to success."
He's never held elected office, losing a three-way Republican U.S. Senate primary bid in Georgia in 2004 with one-quarter of the vote. At present, Cain seems to be have the momentum in an incredibly weak GOP field. The GOP thus far have only offered retreads, RINOs, and radicals. Cain is fresh, real, and new.
"I just love him," gushed Laura Miller, a self-described "Cainiac" from Jessup, Ga. "What he says makes so much sense."
A quick look at Herman's bio:

- Best known for turning the Godfather Pizza company around as CEO, long career in private industry
- Member of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
On the Issues:
- Lower corp tax rates from 35% to 25%, eliminate capital gains tax, suspend taxes on repat foreign profits
- Cain is a strong supporter of the Fair Tax
- Welfare "Programs...designed to make people more dependent rather than less dependent."
- Is pro-life opposes abortion. Life begins at conception. Would defund Planned Parenthood
- Favors vouchers and charter school systems
- Cain favors offshore drilling and favors drilling in ANWR. Free-market on alternative energy
- favors repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. (Obamacare)
- Cain believes that the US-Mexico border must be secured, no amnesty for illegals

Mr. Cain hurt himself, and his causes when he failed to realize that his closet full of skeletons would make him unsuitable for a GOP nominee. Sad. | | | | |
