An employee of the state Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles has been arrested on charges of selling more than 200 drivers' licenses to immigrants for as much as $3,000 each.
The department said state and federal investigators booked Nancy P. Brown into the Henderson jail on federal charges of fraud and bribery.
DMV Director Bruce Breslow said, Brown will be fully prosecuted. She was arrested Thursday at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
The fraudulent drivers' licenses are being canceled. The DMV is sending certified letters to the license holders and is alerting other licensing agencies through the national Problem Driver Pointer System.
Drivers Licenses are required in many states in order to vote. The blue states are lax in enforcing the law which is troubling for US elections. Hispanics are assumed to vote for Democrats.
