Ice is expanding in much of Antarctica, contrary to the widespread public belief that global warming is melting the continental ice cap. Antarctica has 90 percent of the Earth's ice and 80 percent of its fresh water. The arctic melt is a 10% issue.

"Global warming is over -- at least for a few decades," Dr. Don Easterbrook told conference attendees. "However, the bad news is that global cooling is even more harmful to humans than global warming, and a cause for even greater concern."
