Soon after a football practice in October of 2015 John R.K. Howard, 19, allegedly used a coat hangar to attack and rape the black teen.
In Idaho, Howard was able to plead guilty while maintaining 'innocence' and was sentenced to 3-year probation and 300 hours of community service.
The story has resurfaced after Howard's original sentence was allowed to stand despite efforts by the victims family to get prison time for the alleged assailant.
